Plate of salmon with wine bottle and glass

In 1939, Robert Steinhilber opened what has become one of the oldest family owned and operated restaurants in Virginia, Steinhilber's Thalia Acres Inn. Continuing his commitment to service, quality and tradition are his daughter Jeanne and his grandson Brady.

Together, they are proud to continue into the future with respect and admiration for traditions of years past. Join us for dinner and remember a time when every meal out was a special event.

Steinhilber's offers amazing water views alongside a superb selection of seafood, steak, chicken and homemade desserts. Our extensive wine list and full bar are world class. We are grateful to have served the Hampton Roads community for more than 85 years.

A selection of freshly picked vegetables from Steinhilber's garden

Just steps away from the restaurant, Jeanne Steinhilber cultivates a large garden that provides seasonal vegetables for many of our dishes.
